How to install freebies

1. First, fill out your name and email, and click submit!
2. Next, go check your email for the download links. You have to download the files within 36 hours, or the links will break.
3. Go find your files- there will be 3, in your downloads folder. This is usually a default location on your Mac or PC computer. If you can’t find them, search for the following file name: LessonPopFree, and you should find all three.
4. Once you locate the files, you will need to unzip them- there are actually 6 files in all (not three.) What you downloaded was actually 3 folders full of files! Most computers come with software that unzips automatically. If yours doesn’t, click here for a free unzip trial software.
5. Now you need the special LessonPop Desktop Viewer- this is where your apps will automatically load any time you want to use them. It is an application, just like Word or Paint, that you will download from our website sidebar and install on your computer. If it asks for your administrative rights, you will need to enter your password. Your computer is just “asking permission” to install our App. You only need to do this one time. Periodically, we update our Application to make it better or add new features, and we will email you to let you know when we do an update- and then you will just click on our sidebar again to install the update.
6. With your viewer installed, you just need to go to the unzipped folders full of LessonPops and double-click on any one, and it will install itself inside the viewer. LessonPops are .lpa files. Then, click on any lesson to run the LessonPop and enjoy all of it’s interactive features.
7. LessonPops are color coded- Writing Apps have a green border, Reading apps have pink, and Digital Citizenship apps have orange.
8. We highly recommend that you read through the LessonPops in their entirety prior to using them with students. There are many features and buttons- and YOU get to decide which ones to use! Your teaching time can be quick, about 5 minutes or so, if you are introducing or reviewing a topic, or much longer if you want to thoroughly cover a skill or strategy. You will understand this concept much better after you review the LessonPop!
